Acceptable Use Policy
This policy supplements the Terms of Service. Using Lumen, you agree not to use the Service — including its answer engine, agentic mode, browser automation, code sandbox, connectors, image generation, or Local Agent — to do, facilitate, or attempt any of the following.
Prohibited: operational harm
- Building, acquiring, or deploying weapons, explosives, or incendiary devices.
- Synthesising or weaponising biological, chemical, radiological, or nuclear agents.
- Planning or carrying out violence, attacks, or terrorism against people.
- Creating, soliciting, or distributing child sexual abuse material, or any sexualisation or endangerment of minors.
Prohibited: unlawful and abusive use
- Malware, ransomware, exploits, or unauthorised intrusion into systems you do not own or are not authorised to test.
- Fraud, phishing, scams, identity theft, or deceptive impersonation.
- Harassment, stalking, threats, doxxing, or non-consensual surveillance.
- Generating content that sexualises real identifiable people without consent, or deceptive deepfakes intended to deceive or defame.
- Spam, mass unsolicited messaging, or platform-manipulation.
- Infringing intellectual property or violating others' privacy rights.
Prohibited: abuse of the Service
- Attempting to bypass, disable, or "jailbreak" Lumen's safety systems.
- Reselling or misrepresenting Lumen Output as professional advice.
- Automated scraping or load that degrades the Service for others, or evading rate limits and metering.
Lumen screens input and output for these categories. We may
refuse, filter, or block requests, and may suspend or terminate accounts that
violate this policy. Self-harm queries are met with crisis-support resources, not
a cold refusal.
